Hourly rates begin at $150.00 an hour, depending on the complexity of the matter. A flat fee for a project/legal representation can be negotiated.
For instance, a flat fee is charged for buyer/seller representation in the purchase and/or sale of a home. Contingent fee agreements may also be negotiated for appropriate cases involving litigation. A retainer is required and a fee agreement letter is necessary for any representation in which the charge will exceed $500.00 for legal service. A fee for an initial consultation prior to being retained can also be discussed and usually is a minimal amount.
Real Estate
Commission rate is 4% of sales price. The commission rate is subject to negotiation for multiple units/developments.
